Meet Remi Murrey. She’s an Emmy-nominated news reporter from Detroit, Michigan who is currently working at WEWS in Cleveland. In 2018, she graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor with a degree in Communications Studies. Later that year, she received her start in the industry as a reporter at WLUC in Marquette, Michigan. There, she earned a Michigan Association of Broadcasters award for best news reporter in her market.
After two years, she then went on to work as a general assignment reporter, morning reporter and fill-in anchor in Flint, Michigan at the NBC and Fox Affiliate. In 2022, Remi moved to Cleveland and since being in the city, Remi has built great connections with the community and even earned her first Emmy-nomination.
When Remi is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, working out, exploring and meeting new people. She also is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the National Association of Black Journalists.
